Osceola Mill Country Inn & Cabin

This lovely BNB is nestled perfectly between Lexington and Staunton (~15-20 min either way using both 81 or 11). It is an easy drive to the Natural Bridge park and it is surrounded by trails that are even closer and are great too! The old mill has been beautifully retrofitted and the rooms are great. We stayed in the Hikers Hideaway suite and found it perfect for our 3 day stay! On the weekends our lovely innkeeper made fantastic breakfasts and was very accommodating to our allergen restrictions! Sarah was amazing! We highly recommend staying here! It was a fantastic time!

This property is an amazing experience, not just a place to sleep. The building is so old and full of history. The amenities are modern, but you’re surrounded by an environment that cannot be explained easily. The pictures attached should help some. The innkeeper was so pleasant and welcoming, and her cooking was just delicious! This is a place I would recommend everyone try at least once.

We stayed in the cabin for a weekend. What a delight! Super comfortable. I don’t think I can stay in a hotel room without a fireplace ever again now. The bed is very comfortable - I need to remember to ask Linda what brand of mattress is in there. Linda is a gracious host who is a phenomenal cook. If you stay on a weekend she makes breakfast and she makes the best frittata I’ve ever had. Only thing is this - it’s an actual historic mill, so it’s as close to the road as can be. The road is probably there because of the mill. But these days, the people who live out there all drive big loud trucks instead of horse drawn carts, so it can be a bit noisy when they pass. The cabin is very up to date with nice amenities - brand new AC split, and a luxurious tub. Very nice shower too. Starlink internet and tv with streaming apps. They have board games too if you want to unplug.

We stayed in the cabin for a last minute overnight on our way home from Christmas with family. Sarah was so accommodating to take our reservation last minute and the cabin was a cozy respite from the 81 holiday traffic. We both enjoyed the luxurious soaking tub and the amazing original fire place! The sound of the creek and the many amenities like coffee and snacks were also so appreciated and added to the deep relaxation we found here. This was a last minute stop but we can’t wait to come back to stay for a whole weekend.

We were doing a weekend vacation driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. Vesuvius was a good stopping point in our travels. Osceola Inn was a great find!! The room was very comfortable. We were there on the weekend so Sarah made breakfast for us (flapjacks, bacon, scrambled eggs- all was delicious!!) and fellow guests. The inn is so welcoming. We met some nice fellow travelers over coffee/ hot tea / hot chocolate. The old mill building has charm and personality. I would stay again!

We enjoyed one evening in this unique setting. Linda was a wonderful hostess and waited until we arrived a bit late. Our room was nicely appointed with sweet amenities like a super comfortable king bed, lounge chairs and filtered water. Downstairs two spaces were filled with fun reminders of a bygone era with a grindstone and belt wheel still in place in the living room. Looking up at the ceiling you see the massive exposed beams that are held in place by wooden pegs - a sight to behold! The dining room has a large family style table with a bowl of fresh fruit. Lots of antiques in both rooms. Walking on the large plank floors with its creaks reminds you that this place is old. Whether you stay one night or many, I think you will get a sense of stepping back in time but with modern comforts. We were glad we came!

We just return from the most wonderfully relaxing weekend at Osceola Mills in Vesuvius, Virginia! From the moment we entered, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, the beds firm, the pillows soft, the snacks plentiful, and our bedroom even had two coffee makers, a refrigerator, and a comfortable couch for relaxing! We rocked on the porch and read books in the sunshine after having the most filling and delicious breakfast ever! Sara is a model of hospitality and a fantastic cook! The next time we visit, I have promised myself that I would go for long walks after such meals! We can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay. The Inn was extremely cozy and inviting. It’s built in an old mil and is full of rustic charm. During our stay we were served an amazing gourmet breakfast each day. Substantial, filling, well presented and made fresh every day with a great variety. We now know why the other reviews rated this Inn as an 10! Our host was extremely attentive and made sure we had a great time. She had cookies and treats waiting for us when we returned in the afternoon as well as snacks and fruit. We could not have asked for a better host or a better stay! Highly recommend!!!
